A major source of priors are actually calculated posterior conjecture — the scourge of medical epidemiology, especially nutritional medical epidemiology. EBM is self-congratulatory term. My substack Nutrition in Crisis, has a series on “EBM, who decides admissibility?” Medical “evidence” is supposed to be judged for admissibility. It should be subject to vigorous cross-examination to see if the evidence is valid. A jury should determine if the evidence is compelling. Our gatekeepers, editors, reviewers are compromised as in John Grisham novel.
